🥜 October in a Nutshell

Throughout October, all hands were on deck prepping our multispace release, from infrastructure refactoring to sorting out the nitty-gritty details of space creation, deletion, and cross-space object management. Seventeen pre-release versions later, we’re rounding the corner towards this huge milestone and looking forward to bringing it to you in the next few days!

🦫 What we're working on:

Product & Engineering:

As discussed in last month’s update, our primary focus right now is laying the groundwork for mullti-space and multiplayer, which will be rolled out incrementally over the next few months. While a large part of our team works on this series of projects, we also have part of our team dedicated to improving core functionality by addressing quick capture on desktop and mobile, enabling local-only and self-hosting options in the interface, and improving the experience of using sets & collections.

Anytype Youtube Channel:

In an effort to bring you more content catered to your workflows, we shared two new Youtube tutorials last month: PARA method in Anytype, and Language flashcards in Anytype. We'd love to hear your ideas for more practical tutorials to help you get the most from Anytype.

Meanwhile, we're also working on some conceptual videos diving into the how & why of Anytype's technology, from fundamental digital freedoms to local-first software. Subscribe to our Youtube channel and be the first to see these videos!

🥁 What's coming next:

Release 0.36.0 (Desktop) / 0.26.0 (Mobile)

We’re almost there! In addition to multispaces, we’ve managed to pack in a grand slam of highly-requested features for you to play with, including calendar view on desktop, Share Sheet on iOS, polishes to the template editing and creation experience, and the first versions of a translated interface on mobile.

Call for Volunteers: Demo your Anytype for Healthy Habits

Our last community-run demo call, Anytype for Creatives, was a huge success, featuring use cases that inspired & motivated everyone who attended. We’d love to collaborate with 1-2 more volunteers for our next demo call, whose theme is: Anytype for Healthy Habits. Whether you use Anytype for habit tracking, daily journaling, or measuring progress on a personal goal of yours, we’d love to showcase your work and have more people benefit from it. If this sounds like you, please reach out to us at marketing@anytype.io, subject line: Demo Call Volunteer.

🍭 What We Loved Last Month:

Here's what got us talking, thinking, and laughing in October:

Is the universe controlled by gigantic structures?
The idea that celestial objects exist within utterly immense cosmic structures is becoming inescapable.
Mobile Phone Museum
We are a not-for-profit entity created to safeguard the rich history and design diversity of mobile devices which have been launched over the last four decades.
