🥜 September in a Nutshell

After a busy summer September was a breezy month, allowing us to recalibrate our plans post-beta and strategize for the remainder of 2023. Last month we kicked off the mobile l10n project, shipped a cross-platform release featuring template creation on-the-fly, and hosted a town hall where we sneak-previewed multi-spaces.

🦫 What we're working on:

Product & Engineering:

For the next several months, our main objective is to deliver multiplayer mode. While we have some other fun features planned along with these releases (hello, web clipper!), most of the team is focusing on multi-space and multi-player for all platforms, so major features will likely be planned only after this milestone is delivered.

We’ll be holding a town hall in November with our Product Team to share some of the considerations underlying multi-space and multi-player. We’d love to see you there.

OpenAny:

We're looking forward to bringing the same global flavor to iOS and Android that we have on desktop, and have recently begun accepting contributions to the mobile l10n project. If you'd like to help with translation to your native language, you can find all the juicy details here.

We've also commenced working with our community on data converters for imports from different tools & services. We welcome you to follow the discussion here.

🥁 What's coming next:

Release 0.36.0 (Desktop) / 0.26.0 (Mobile)

This one'll be a banger! Tentatively we're planning for this release to include multispaces, template updates, and a few design polishes. The release date is still TBD as lots needs to be tested internally before we can release an alpha version, but we'll be sure to update as soon as we have news.

Use Case Sharing MVP

We've begun exporting common use case templates for internal testing, and will soon be inviting the community to contribute your own examples to our use case library. Please stay tuned for some additional information on how to submit your use case, and how to import use cases created by others.

Open Demo: Anytype for Creative Professionals & Hobbyists

For our next demo call on Oct 19th at 17:00 CEST, we're thrilled to be partnering up with some longtime Anytypers who will walk you through their workflows for creative hobbies and professions!
From movie databases to F1 tracking, to character development in fiction writing, we can't wait for our community to share some of the ways they've been using Anytype to maintain knowledge bases. We'd love to see you for this occasion - link to register here.
